Flamhaft State Cup Semi-Finals against Yonkers Portuguese are this Sunday. Polet will be playing at Belson Stadium on the St. John's University Campus. Kick-off is at 6pm. The winner goes to the State Cup Finals on June 13th! Let's Go Polet!

2nd Annual Dalmacija Kup will be held in Canada this year the weekend of June 12-14. Polet is organizing buses leaving NYC on Thursday, June 11 at 11:59 pm and returning Sunday night, June 14 along with hotel rooms. NY Polet will play for the Kup against Dalmacija Streetsville on Saturday, June 13. The game will be followed by a banquet. Joining the soccer team to Canada is kolo grupa "Hrvatska Ruza" from Astoria. Also, Grupa Non-Stop will be unplugged and rocking the bus on the way. Everyone is welcomed to join us. Please contact us ASAP via our website if interested.

Polet plays Rudar this Sunday at Flushing Memorial Field at 12pm in the second round of the State Cup.

The club wants to wish Matt Princi and his Carey H.S. varsity team good luck in the second round of the playoffs today.  

Lake Grove has officially dropped out of the league. This is why we have a bye week this coming weekend. Also, all points received against Lake Grove have been removed (refer to lisfl.org standings). Rudar's second win was against Lake Grove and those points have now been removed. Same goes for all other teams who played Lake Grove so far this season. 
 
Again, no game this weekend due to bye week created by Lake Grove dropping out.

hello everybody ny polet soccer team and others like kristina and brankics and everybody who was involved  
i had the greatest time on friday night when setting up everything that we had to do fo saturday , then saturday day came it was even more better when we had a chance to watch 2 soccer games during the day then the real great party that i have ever seen in the center in a long time . i have been to dj georges party when we where young every friday in the 90s and also when we had pk come for new years eve party . but this party that they threw on may 3rd was the best . being together with croatians was the best . food was great plenty of drinks and also plenty of cool people to hang out with that night . and wanted to say thanks to all you guys for inviting to this party . i cannt wait until we go to canada in sept . joe

Kick ass party on Saturday people! Everyone I spoke to was impressed, especially our friends from Canada. Thank you to all the Croats from NYC who helped make it happen. It was a good, competitive soccer game, all the performances were excellent, and Freedom played like I've never seen them play before. You know it was a great night when the band tells you that it was one of the best times they've ever had while performing. Congrats to everyone for making the Dalmacija Kup a huge success. And credit to Kristina for making us do it at the old Center. That's the type of atmosphere we want to see at the Croatian Center more often.

NY Polet will be hosting Dalmacija Streetsville from Canada on Saturday, May 3rd for the first ever 'Dalmacija Kup'. Polet v. Dalmacija at 1 pm on our home field followed by a banquet and festivities at the Croatian Center in Manhattan later that night. More details to follow...save the date, May 3rd.

Goran and everybody else, practice is tonight @ RI from 8 to 10. You can take F train to Roosevelt Island from Manhatan. When you get there w train walk north. The field is on left side (across the street from fire house). This is a last practice outdoors on RI next tuesday we will start w indoors.

Do we have a practice or a game this Friday @ Rosevelt Island ? What is the exact address ? And also, does anyone know best, (shortest) way to get there from 116th and Broadway ?

Directions:  
 
FROM QUEENS/LONG ISLAND: Grand Central Parkway (West) to last exit before Triborough Bridge (Hoyt Ave.). At the exit, drive all the way until the end and make a left onto 21st Street. Go straight and turn right onto 36th Ave. Go straight and cross the Roosevelt Island Bridge. You can park your car in the parking lot you see on your right side (bring money). When you exit the parking lot make a right and walk to the field behind the last building on your left.  
 
 
Practices are closed to Polet players only. But if you are interested in playing for New York Polet SC or know someone that does? Please contact us immediately.

The tournament is in Windsor and we are leaving on august 31 at 5:55PM from Laguardia Airport. We have made the list of players who are going to play but many of you didn't call me yet and confirm if you are comming. Please do it soon cause we have to pay for the tickets by thursday morning.

Bog Josipe! Pozdrav from NY Polet. I'm happy to see my 'Korner' keeps getting a reaction from people...I want to make sure our site doesn't get too boring. John knows I still love him and that I wouldn't think twice about having him in the defensive line in front of me again (he is an excellent player)...and by the way, the rehab on the knee is almost complete. I think a new 'korner' is well overdue...I just need a little motivation. 
 
We definetly need to work hard this spring and get a Croatian team back into the first division next season. It's been a long time coming (when NY Croatia folded in 2000) since our community was represented in New York's elite soccer divisions. We have been a bit stretched and unfocused over the past few years. It's time to change that and our website is our way of giving the community a forum with a little bit of news, a few pictures, and a commentary or two...a small way, hopefully, to help close the gap and keep us closer together.

Boy, Mr. Kolega is frustrated. Perhaps that is an understatement. However, there's no other word I can think of to describe him after visiting his 'KORNER' That thing about the poor player that took him out was disturbing to read. And the language was equally disturbing. That is, of course, until I got to the end. I thought he was loosing it, only to find that he was joking. Was he though? I bet the next time John ventures into the forbidden zone Kolega does one of those accidentally on purpose things and takes him out :) John, stay away from that forbidden zone! The next time you wonder into it may be one to remember. Or should I say, one to forget? Am I joking? Perhaps I am. Is Kolega joking? The only way to find out is to go near him when the action is hot in the forbidden zone. Hey, I got it; we should call it ‘THE KOLEGA ZONE’ that sounds good to me. In any event; I thought I was long over due in making an entry in the GuestBook.  
 
It’s fun and entertaining to read everything on the site. You guys are doing a great job with both the site and the team. Good luck in the spring. I am looking forward to seeing our team back in the first division one day again. This may be the year. Play hard and support one another.

I was asked to invite the polet team to the 3rd annual Indoor 5v5 tournament at City College. Dragos from Istria is coordinating it. It will be held Saturday Feb 10th in the morning. It is 250 for a team. Teams like Istria, Rudar, Berkeley College, and others will be attending. Let me know what you guys think and it was alot of fun last year and will probably be better this year since there will be more teams.
